Evidence Upload Guide
Understanding the Unit Page
When you open a unit, you will see:
• Sample Evidence – A guide video showing what good evidence looks like
• Performance Evidence Requirements – What you must demonstrate
• Your Evidence Section – Where you upload your files
• Assessment Status – Shows if you are Competent or Not Yet Competent
• Feedback – Comments from your assessor
Always read the performance requirements before recording or uploading.
Watch the Sample Evidence First
Before uploading your own evidence:
✅ Watch the sample video
✅ Review the performance criteria
✅ Understand exactly what must be demonstrated
This helps avoid rejection and delays.
Video Evidence Requirements (Important)
For most practical units, you must upload a video.
Your video MUST:
• Clearly show your face
• Verbally state your full name
• Demonstrate the required task
• Show real workplace context where possible
• Clearly explain what you are doing
Example:
“Hi, my name is John Smith. Today I am demonstrating how I contribute to implementing risk management strategies by…”
If your face is not visible, your video may be rejected.
What Makes Strong Evidence?
Strong evidence is:
✔ Clear and steady (not blurry)
✔ Recorded in good lighting
✔ Shows the full task process
✔ Explains what you are doing
✔ Directly matches the unit requirement
Weak evidence often:
✖ Doesn’t explain the task
✖ Doesn’t show the full process
✖ Is too short
✖ Doesn’t clearly match the criteria
Uploading Your Evidence
To upload your evidence:
1. Open the relevant unit
2. Scroll to Your Evidence
3. Upload your video or supporting documents
4.Review carefully before submitting
⚠️ Important Upload Requirements
• Maximum video file size: 20MB
• Ensure your video is compressed before uploading
• Use clear file names (e.g., ICT40120_Unit1_JohnSmith.mp4)
• Make sure documents are readable and not blurry
• Upload the correct file to the correct unit
If your file exceeds 20MB, it will not upload successfully.
Tip: Record short, focused videos that directly demonstrate the required task rather than long recordings.
Referee & Supporting Evidence
Some units may require:
• Referee confirmation
• Workplace documents
• Supporting reports
• Risk assessments
• Plans or drawings
Upload all relevant documents to strengthen your submission.
Assessment Status
After submission, you will see:
• Submitted – Waiting for assessment
• Competent – Requirement met
• Not Yet Competent – More evidence required
If marked Not Yet Competent, read the Assessor Feedback carefully and resubmit improved evidence.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
• Not showing your face in video
• Not stating your name
• Submitting unrelated content
• Uploading incomplete tasks
• Ignoring performance criteria
• Poor lighting or unclear audio
Avoid these to prevent delays.
