Scope of Work
The Plumbing and Services scope of work includes but is not limited to:
- Designing and sizing sanitary drainage systems
- Designing and sizing stormwater drainage systems
- Designing and sizing consumer gas installations
- Designing and sizing sanitary plumbing systems
- Designing and sizing heated and cold-water services and systems
- Accessing and interpreting regulatory requirements for the plumbing and services industry
- Planning finances for new business ventures
- Reading and interpreting plans and specifications
- Carrying out WHS requirements
Experience Requirements
To be eligible, you must demonstrate:
- At least 3 years’ relevant industry experience in a wide range of plumbing work
- The majority of this experience obtained within the last 10 years

You’ll need to provide:
- 100-point ID check (JP-certified)
- Valid White Card (JP-certified)
- Referee testimonial(s) confirming ≥ 3 years’ experience
- Video or photo evidence of your work
Regulatory Licensing Requirements
According to NSW Fair Trading, there are different types of licences available in NSW depending on whether applicants want to contract for another party or supervise work. A contractor licence allows tradies to contract and advertise to do work as described on the licence.
